1871  (1872)  I was astonished at the ease and skill with which the Indians paddled their bark canoes which were of the Milicite pattern--long, narrow, and crank.
1871  (1872)  A Milicite canoe is much more crank than a Micmac, and is difficult to stand up in at any time, unless thoroughly accustomed to it.
